January meeting

Happy 2019 everyone!  Cranberry Lacers enjoyed getting together on this Saturday.  Many of us realized that we hadn't touched our lace pillows an awful lot in the last few weeks and so there was definitely a "getting back into the swing of things" learning curve to the early part of our day.  After a bit, though, we were all happily lacing away.

In addition to the variety of lace on our pillows and projects planned and in the works, there was also continued discussions about a fantastic experience back in November (when this blog writer was sick and unfortunately missed out on a great day).  A gentleman dropped off six boxes of lace and books that his first wife had collected some years ago.  A few of the items were back again today and we discussed some of this beautiful old collector pieces.  Here is a glimpse of some of them:

And, of course, some pictures of what was on our pillows today:

We meet every third Saturday of the month for a day of lacing and conversation. We are a group of friendly lacemakers with a range of experience - we are lucky enough to have a professional instructor to teach the beginners and work with the experienced.  Anyone is welcome to join us!  The room we meet in at the library is large with lots of light.  Feel free to email us at cranberrylacers@gmail.com for more information.Cranberry Lacers has been a chartered chapter group of IOLI for 25 years.
